How do I quickly see a Trend Report in Luminate Connect?
We would like to demonstrate how simply and quickly you can run a Trend Report in Luminate Connect!
Let’s say you want to see how the 2001 hit 'Murder on the Dancefloor' by Sophie Ellis-Bextor has performed since it was featured in the 2023 film Saltburn on Amazon Prime.
From the homepage, click the magnifying glass in the left navigation bar to search Murder on the Dancefloor and select the appropriate song.
That will populate the song’s dashboard that will include some valuable metadata about the song itself, such as artist, release date, label and more. In the upper right hand corner, you can click Time Frame, Breakout View, and Activity Type to further customize how you want the data broken out.
Please note the beta currently has historical data from week 1 of 2020. Since Saltburn was released on November 17, 2023, let’s see how the song performed since November 1, 2023. Scroll down to see the Activity Over Time (Trend) section:
The chart will give you:
- The dates you selected plus the previous equivalent timeframe.
- Choose whether you want to see data daily or weekly.
- It will give you the data types you select in the Activity and Breakout views.
Highlight with your cursor the weeks you want to see expanded:
The period you select will be zoomed to scale as below:
As you can see, daily activity started to increase, albeit slowly, during the second half of November, and then really started to gain steam as we move into December, finally peaking in January of 2024. From there, you can easily export or toggle to a grid view by clicking on the three yellow dots above the chart.
You can also view the data as a worldwide aggregate, or select one out of 49 different countries we have available today. Please note that country level data is a premium feature that is available for all users in the beta.
