How is the Worldwide view in Luminate Connect different from the US and Canadian views?
The Worldwide view in Luminate Connect shows the performance of artists, albums, and songs at a global level. Users are able to see activity over a period of time gathered from over 200 countries daily.
The primary difference between the US and Canadian views and the Worldwide view is that there will be no barcode-level data and no album sales from anywhere outside North America. Luminate does not have a brick & mortar sales reporting presence beyond the United States and Canada. In the Worldwide view of an album, the view shows track sales and streams only. In the example below, premium and ad-supported streams for all tracks on the album are rolling up to a global total.
Where the US and Canadian views show market-level data, Worldwide will show country-level data where applicable. The above example shows the view of 3 Feet High And Rising with country-level access activated. When deactivated, the map will highlight only the US and Canada, with the remainder of the streams rolling up to Others.
Users with access to the country-level views of track sales and streams in the Worldwide view should note that this level of granularity dates back to Week 1 2023.
