Why is there a difference in Stream totals between the KPI and Activity By Location?

Why is there a difference in Stream totals between the KPI and Activity By Location?

When looking at a Dashboard (United States or Canada), there may be a difference between:
  1. Total streams that are displayed in the KPI
  2. Other widgets in the dashboard
  3. Total streams that are displayed in the Activity By Location widget

The difference is because not all Streaming Providers (DSPs) report the Market Level streaming activity.
  1. The KPI number is the total amount of streams reported when adding each of the provider's totals together.
  2. Activity By Location total only includes data from providers that report Market Level Streaming Activity.
Please note this is when the Markets Toggle, shown above, is turned on.

When turned off, Activity By Location displays Country level data, when permissioned.

If you want the dashboard KPI, and the remainder of the dashboard, to reflect the Market totals, change the view from a National view to a Market view.
This can be done by clicking on the Markets at the top of the site.

You will see a pop up screen with National selected, click on the option for United States Market (or Canada Market in the Canada Location).

When clicking Select All, and Applying Changes, the total in the KPI and other widgets in the Dashboard will match the total that is in the Activity By Location widget.

If you check one or more specific markets, the total in the KPI and other widgets in the Dashboard will reflect the markets that you selected.
For example, in the screenshot below, the New York market was selected.
