Quickstart Guide: Set up CONNECT in minutes

Whether you’re a new user or already have a Luminate Data account, here’s how to log in, access the CONNECT platform and start uncovering music insights.

Quickstart steps 

If you’re already a Music Connect user, skip to Step 4 or scroll down.

  1. Activate your account 
CONNECT is available to registered Luminate Data account holders only. If you or your organization has subscribed or requested a demo from our Sales team, you’ll get an email from noreply@LuminateData.com with the subject line “Activate Your Luminate Account Now.” 

Open the email and click the Activate Account link. Note that the link expires after 90 days. After that, you can request a new one from Sales or Support. 

  1. Choose a password
Your username is the email address you used to sign up. Once you activate your account, you’ll be prompted to choose a new password and security questions. 

All set! You now have a Luminate account.


  1. Go to app.luminatedata.com

After you choose a password, you’ll be automatically redirected to your Luminate User Home. This is your personal profile with access to CONNECT and other Luminate products. Click the CONNECT tile to enter the platform. 




From now on, you can use app.luminatedata.com to access CONNECT. Be sure to bookmark or save the URL.



  1. Log in

Visit app.luminatedata.com and log in with your user credentials. 


If you already use the legacy Music Connect platform, you don’t need to create or activate a new account. Just use your existing login credentials to access the new CONNECT.



  1. Start using CONNECT

The CONNECT home page always shows you What’s Trending. You can change the default What’s Trending location from the United States to a worldwide view or choose a different country.


But you probably want to use the other powerful features available in CONNECT. To do that, open the menu at top left and choose Search, Charts, Analysis or Report Builder.


With those tools, you’ll be able to access a world of music data, analytics and insights. Read all about them in our User Guide.
