All Streamers: Market-level viewing trends

All Streamers: Market-level viewing trends

Analyze industry-wide OTT viewership with the All Streamers Dashboard, which aggregates viewing data for the streaming providers in our dataset.

From the sidebar menu, open Streamers and choose All from the dropdown.

Streamer and genre shares

The top of the All Streamers Dashboard breaks out combined viewership by platform and genre.

Choose Minutes (default) or Hours from the Time Units menu at top left. Use the Source menu to filter the entire page by Original, Non-Original or All titles.

Streamer shares

The pie chart at top left displays title viewership by platform within your selected time frame.

View percentages by streamer
Hover over pie slices to see minutes watched and percentage shares.
Scroll up or down the list of streamers using the arrows at bottom.

Click streamer names on the list to remove them from the total (or return them to the pie). Shares will update automatically.

Genre breakout

The graph at top right lists the most popular streaming movie or TV show genres within your time frame.

Compare Movie or TV genres
Toggle between Movies or TV Shows at top right.

The Genre Breakout display doesn't permit scrolling. Click VIEW ALL for the full list.

View full genre breakouts
Clicking VIEW ALL opens a pop-out window exposing the full genre breakout.

Genre Breakout doesn't "double-count" genres. Shares are based on one primary genre for each title.

The bottom of the All Streamers Dashboard displays daily or weekly aggregated activity for the selected time frame. Click the menu at top right to export Trends data in CSV or Excel format.

All Streamers FAQs

Does “All Streamers” replace Analysis in SV(M)?

Yes. We retired the Analysis page and replaced it with the aggregated All Streamers Dashboard.

Does the Streamer Shares chart count all streamers, or just top platforms?

Streamer Shares includes all streamers that offer titles in our dataset, including platforms that don’t have their own Streamer Dashboard in SV(M). Views that occur on streamers outside that list are captured in the “Others” category.

How do you determine streamer shares?

Streamer shares are based on title viewership + title availability on platforms.

Our tracking methodology identifies the titles being played on smart TVs. It does not track which platform is being used to view a title at any given time. We use title metadata to determine which platforms offer each title in our dataset and attribute viewership to platforms that way.

What does “Multiple Platforms” mean?

See above. If a title is available on more than one platform during the selected time frame, the Streamer Shares chart attributes viewership to “Multiple Platforms.”
