SV(M) Home: Trending titles and current charts

Welcome home!

Whether you access SV(M) from the URL svm.luminatedata.com or via your Luminate user portal, you’ll land on your account’s Home page.

Navigation

Open Home from the SV(M) sidebar menu.

Preview this week’s charts

The SV(M) Home page gives a snapshot of the week’s top titles, with previews of the Luminate TOP 50 Movies and TOP 50 TV Shows charts. Each entry includes the title, platform, current ranking, up/down trends and a comparison to last week.

Click the arrow at top right to open the full chart.

Time Units: Minutes or Hours

SV(M) measures viewership in increments of minutes or hours watched. Use the Time Units dropdown at top left to switch any page view from Minutes (default option) to Hours.

What does "Partial Data" mean?

Streaming charts are based on one full week of streaming metrics. But SV(M) publishes daily streaming numbers. The “Partial Data up to” label indicates that the chart week is still in progress. Chart previews incorporate our latest viewership calculations as of the date listed.

Numbers and rankings are updated all week based on most recent data, but charts are not final until the week is over.

Film and TV streaming chart weeks run from Friday-Thursday. SV(M) publishes full charts for the most recent week every Friday.

View up to 10 entries at once
Chart previews may be condensed at lower screen resolutions or narrower widths. Expand your browser window to see up to 10 titles for each chart.

Select a different week

Use the Time Frame dropdown in the top menu bar to see chart previews from past weeks. The Home page only displays one week at a time.

Time Frame menu
SV(M) Home defaults to the week in progress (Current Week). Use the dropdown to see chart previews and new releases from a past week. You can only select one week at a time.

Note that at lower resolutions or smaller screen sizes, the Time Frame menu bar will display abbreviations instead of dates: CW for Current Week, LW for Last Week and PW for Past Week (Custom week selection).

Why can't I select multiple weeks?
Charts are based on weekly data; you can only view Chart previews within a one-week window. To see more than one week of data at once, go to a Title Dashboard or build a Comparison.
Time zone: UTC
All SV(M) dates begin at 12:00 a.m. UTC. Daily streaming viewership is counted from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m UTC. We use UTC (Coordinated Universal Time, EST+5) for all day, date and time demarcation irrespective of viewing time zone, title release location or SV(M) user location.

Get personalized insights

Click the Streaming Recap button at top right to activate Lumi, our AI-powered analytics assistant.

Lumi’s Streaming Recap covers the latest film and TV charts. But Lumi doesn’t just summarize chart rankings. In addition to new releases and top-viewed titles, Lumi draws from the entire SV(M) database to offer commentary on items beyond the charts, including library titles. It synthesizes seasons, time periods and genres; makes connections between similar titles and suggests comparisons you may not have considered.

When you log in to SV(M), Lumi prepares a personalized rundown of streaming highlights since your last visit. If you choose a different time frame, Lumi compiles insights from that chart week instead.

See what’s new

Below the chart previews, SV(M) Home also displays the latest streaming movie and TV releases.

New releases are refreshed daily. We only include titles that 1) have been released already and 2) have recorded viewership in our database. Upcoming or just-released titles with no data will not appear.
