Music registration: Add entries to our database
Luminate tracks music streaming and sales data. All musical entities — artists, songs and album releases — must be registered in our database with a minimum amount of metadata in order to be included in CONNECT.
Many database entries are created automatically when reporters submit activity data and metadata. But some items still need to be registered individually. Use the forms linked below to register music.
Back to Registration and Reporting
Register music
We accept submissions for Recordings, Products and Artists. Expect registration to take 3 business days. If your entity doesn't appear in CONNECT after 3 business days, consult our registration troubleshooting guide.
Recording (ISRC) registration
Most ISRC data comes to us from DSPs and labels during regular reporting. If we've started tracking streams or song sales for an ISRC, it's "in the system," with no separate registration needed.
Product (ICPN) registration
Complete the Luminate Title Registration form to register digital or physical albums, singles and EPs at the product (barcode) level. You can register a title using a UPC or EAN.
All music products must be individually registered with ICPNs in advance to be included in our sales tracking.
Artist registration
Complete the Luminate Artist Registration form to add artists to our database. Certain metadata fields, like country of origin and genre, are required. At least one registered ISRC is required. An ISNI for the artist is preferred.
Airplay (radio) registration
We receive Airplay data through our partnership with Mediabase. Use the Mediabase New Music Registration form to submit songs for Airplay tracking.
For best results, review the Title Guidelines for recording, product and artist name submission.
Submit a correction
Report metadata errors and request data corrections by submitting a Help ticket directly from the CONNECT platform. Click the ? icon at the bottom left of the screen to open the Help menu.
You may also use this process to request merges for duplicate artists, ISRCs and ICPNs.
