Artist Dashboards

Artist Dashboards

Artist Dashboards combine metadata and consumption data for musical groups, solo artists and collaborations. They collect key biographical data, link musicians to associated acts and projects and help surface performance insights from across an artist's career.

What if an artist has no Dashboard?

Some artists don’t have Dashboards, even if we’re tracking activity for linked ISRCs and ICPNs. CONNECT requires certain types of artist metadata to create Dashboards. Usually, artist information comes to us from our data partners. Sometimes, we don’t receive enough metadata to automatically generate a complete Dashboard. (Read more here: Artist data discrepancies).

If you notice a missing Artist Dashboard, you may submit individual artists to our database using the Artist Registration Form. Include all required ID codes and metadata attributes.

See artist details

The top of an Artist Dashboard displays key identifying information for a musical act, including an ISNI at top right. Click the ISNI to copy it to your clipboard.

External IDs

Click the “EXTERNAL IDS” tab to see other identifiers for an artist, such as an ISNI or Gracenote database ID.

Go to: ISRC, ICPN, ISNI: External IDs and product codes

Set data controls and view activity

By default, Artist Dashboards show streaming data from the current week. Click the icon to see all artist data options at once.

Go to: Data Controls: Set Activity Types, Breakout Views and filters

Once you’ve set your desired parameters, scroll down to see performance metrics over time, by location or by activity type—all the standard Dashboard displays.

Discography

In addition to the standard activity panes, Artist Dashboards compile performance across an artist’s catalog. Choose ALBUMS, VIDEOS, SINGLES & EP’S or SONGS to compare releases in each category. Click any title to visit its Song or Release Group Dashboard.

Expand or collapse the Discography grid using the gray column at left.

Export a Discography grid

Click [three dots] at top right to export a Discography grid in CSV or Excel format. An Excel export will show each tab (ALBUMS, VIDEOS, SINGLES & EP’S, SONGS) as its own sheet. A CSV export will download as a .zip continuing 4 separate files, one for each tab.

CONNECT automatically generates filenames for Discography exports.

Excel: [Artist Name]_Discography_[Luminate ID]_[timestamp].xlsx

CSV: [Artist Name]_Discography_[Luminate ID]_[timestamp].zip
Expands to folder with:
↳ …_SONGS_[Luminate ID]_[timestamp].csv
↳ …_SINGLES_AND_EPS_[Luminate ID]_[timestamp].csv
↳ …_VIDEOS_[Luminate ID]_[timestamp].csv
↳ …_ALBUMS_[Luminate ID]_[timestamp].csv
