What CONNECT does
CONNECT tracks and visualizes music consumption: all the different ways people listen to recorded music. Our data comes to us directly from over 500 partners in entertainment, retail and technology. (For details, review our methodology). On the front end, the platform UI presents data and metadata in an intuitive, feature-rich interface that combines dynamic data visualizations with advanced analytics tools.
Rich, searchable database
Our database contains trillions of data points on millions of artists, albums and songs. We include critical artist metadata like country of origin, genre, language, related acts and dozens of industry-standard identifiers.
Dynamic Dashboards
CONNECT Dashboards combine artist, song and album metadata with customizable data visualizations to focus your analysis. Detailed data controls help you highlight performance for different time frames, locations and types of consumption.
Worldwide and country-level engagement data
See worldwide trends or view music consumption at the country level for dozens of countries. Some subscription types include access to U.S. and Canada market-level data.
Billboard and Luminate charts
As the official data partner of Billboard for more than 30 years, Luminate provides the data and calculations that create the music industry’s most widely-referenced charts. Search charts in the CONNECT database, access historical chart data and see the numbers behind the rankings.
Industry analysis
The Analysis feature lets you compare weekly, quarterly or yearly consumption for the entire music business or isolate trends related to genre, catalog age and market.
Custom data exports
Build your own reports using complex, multilayered criteria. Generate lists of up to 10,000 ranked items with Ranking Reports or use Trend Reports to analyze performance over time for your own selections.
API access and data sharing
Query the CONNECT database or integrate Luminate data into existing systems with the Luminate API. We also facilitate large-scale Snowflake data sharing.

CONNECT is available by subscription only from Luminate. Active subscribers can log in at app.luminatedata.com or via your Luminate account portal.
