Read more about the products here.

How does it work?

We apply graph mapping techniques to find the links between unique musical IDs: ISNI to ISRC, ISWC to ISRC, and more. These IDs are attached as metadata to artists, recordings, works and products.

Our database provides 100% identifier coverage for millions of musical artists and hundreds of millions of musical assets.

What does “100% identifier coverage” mean?

We’re able to definitively assign at least one unique alphanumeric identifier to each musical asset (artist, recording, product, musical work, etc.) in our database. Because we include so many identifiers in our dataset, we can usually assign more than one ID to each asset, which allows us to validate the connections between artists and works, ISRCs and ISWCs and so on.

Our coverage and mapping are our differentiators. We don't "guess" based on name similarity; we link known asset IDs to known asset IDs.

Is your data included in CONNECT?

Yes. Our identifier database is already being used to enhance the CONNECT platform, most notably with the addition of ISNIs to Artist Dashboards. In the future, we’ll integrate more identifiers, more metadata and more links between musical entities.

Who are your customers?

Data Enrichment customers include music labels, distributors, publishers, rights management companies and digital streaming providers (DSPs). Our matching and data disambiguation services help with metadata accuracy, claims, royalty collection, valuation, forecasting and overall catalog management.

Where can I learn more? / How do I get started?

Contact Luminate Music or speak to your Luminate representative to learn more or request a trial.

We are currently offering samples of ArtistMatch (ISNI) and WorksMatch (ISWC-ISRC) outputs. Submit a sample dataset to see what our matching services can do.

Can I get API access? / Where do I find API documentation?

Yes, we offer API access. Contact us for more information or to receive an API key.

Full API documentation is available at quansic.com/api

About the team

What does Data Enrichment do?

We maintain the world’s largest musical artist identification database, with over 2.5 million ISNIs (artist IDs) and over 277 million asset IDs. This dataset is at the core of our metadata matching and cleansing services, which are aimed at musical rights holders, labels, distributors and DSPs.

How big is the team?

Luminate Data Enrichment is a team of 6 people, including Quansic founder and CEO FX Nuttall. They’re based in France and work remotely with colleagues around the world.

Is Data Enrichment the same as Quansic?

Yes. The Quansic team is now the Data Enrichment team within Luminate.

What's Quansic?

Quansic began as an international software company based in France that specialized in data management for the music industry. The company was founded in 2019 by FX Nuttall, a physicist and programmer who spent over 20 years pioneering and implementing successful initiatives in music metadata and rights management.

What’s the relationship between Quansic and Luminate?

In 2024, Luminate acquired Quansic and began incorporating Quansic’s metadata into its software and dataset.

Today, Luminate Data Enrichment (formerly Quansic) operates independently as a standalone team reporting to the Luminate CEO.

What does “Quansic” mean?

The original company name combined quantum and music: quantum physics and music metadata, the two passions of founder FX Nuttall. Both fields oscillate between total irrationality and scientific rigor; finding the connections and creating order from chaos is still Quansic’s raison d’être.
