SV(M) Talent Dashboards present biographical data, credits and combined views for actors in streaming shows.
Search for talent by name or go to a Title Dashboard and scroll to Cast.
Find Talent
Talent Dashboards can be accessed 1) via Search or 2) from a linked Title Dashboard.
Open Search and start typing a first or last name in the top search bar. Matching Talent will appear in the right column sorted by name match similarity.
Title Dashboards for TV seasons and movies now list linked Talent. Scroll down to CAST and click a name to visit their Talent Dashboard.
Talent snapshot
The top of a Talent Dashboard lists biographical facts, high-level career metadata and KPIs.
ExperienceAbove-the-line roles held by the talent during their career. Talent refers to acting roles. But the Experience field can also list credits like Director, Writer, Producer, Documentary Producer and so on.Country of OriginThe country where the person was born, regardless of where they currently live or work.Gender, Ethnicity, Birthdate, PronounsAdditional biographical data from the FTV database.
Attributed Views calculates the total view count of titles featuring the talent for your date range. It depends on your Time Frame selection.
Credited Titles stays the same regardless of date range. It represents all TV shows and movies we’re tracking with that talent.
Views and trends
Unlike Title and Streamer Dashboards, Talent Dashboards only highlight one metric: Views. All activity data on a Talent Dashboard is based on the number of views that can be attributed to the talent for their credited titles in your date range.
The Activity Over Time bar graph represents total attributed views for the talent within the selected time frame. Hover over a bar to see the TV show and movie totals for the listed date or week.
Credits
At the bottom of a Talent Dashboard, the CREDITS grid lists all roles linked to that talent in the SV(M) database. Toggle the top right selector from ALL to TV SEASONS or MOVIES to filter credits by category.
Talent Dashboard FAQs
Talent metadata — birthdate, country, ethnicity, etc. — comes from the Luminate Film & TV (FTV) database.
Country of Origin refers to the country where the person was born.
The Views metric measures the number of times a title was watched in its entirety. One View means that the title — and its cast — was seen once, regardless of how long any specific person was onscreen.
Watching a 145-minute movie doesn’t (usually) mean watching every actor in it for 145 minutes. But it does mean seeing every cast member at least once: the lead role, the two-minute cameo and everyone in between.
Since we cannot (yet) break down screen time per cast member, attributing the full measure of minutes watched to every actor in a title wouldn’t be an accurate way to depict activity on a Talent Dashboard. Using Views instead of Minutes/Hours Watched also helps balance the duration difference between TV seasons and movies.
Not at this time. We attribute views for movies and TV seasons to all credited cast members. We may calculate talent views differently or offer new breakouts in the future, but for now a view is a view irrespective of screen time, status or salary.
For the time being, yes. Talent credits and views are attributed at the season level, not the episode level. Main cast members and key recurring cast for a season all receive season views. We may break out episode-level credits in the future.
We track voice roles and list them under Credits, but voice roles don’t contribute to Views on a Talent Dashboard. This is because 1) the nature of voice acting means that some actors receive hundreds of credits for children’s, animation and translated (“dubbed”) content, which would distort the overall viewership picture, and 2) actors in voice-only roles are literally not viewed.
Not at this time. Right now, SV(M) generates Talent Dashboards for actors with credited roles in titles in our dataset. We list non-acting credits for those actors in the Experience field, but we don’t create Dashboards for people who are primarily directors, writers and producers rather than actors.
