Song and Recording Dashboards display metadata and performance metrics at the track level. One Song comprises multiple Recordings.
A Song Dashboard collects every recording of a track under one umbrella. Recordings can include remixed, remastered, live, acoustic and other “alt” versions. Any time audio of a song performance is captured, mastered and officially released (on tape, in the studio, as a remix), the result is one Recording.

Each unique Recording is identified by an ISRC.
The topmost pane of a Song Dashboard displays key identifying information.

The EXTERNAL IDs tab lists all identifiers associated with a song, with ISRCs at the top. Each ISRC code identifies a unique recording and can be used to navigate to a Recording Dashboard.
Go to: ISRC, ICPN, ISNI: External IDs and product codes
The RELATED RELEASE GROUP tab collects every album, EP, single and/or compilation on which the song has appeared. These can include the originating album or single as well as soundtracks, themed compilations, artist best-ofs, live recordings, remixes, re-releases and more.
Click any title to visit its Release Group Dashboard.
We track ownership and distribution claims at the recording level and display these on Song and Recording Dashboards.
Open MORE DETAILS > and select the RIGHTS tab to see rights for all recordings. (Only rights holders have access to claims information).
Click an ISRC in the left column to visit its Recording Dashboard.
By default, Song Dashboards show Streams and Song Sales from the current week. (CONNECT doesn’t track Product Sales for songs). Click the icon to see all options for Activity Type, Breakout View and other filters.
Go to: Data Controls: All Activity Types, breakouts and filters
Song Dashboards allow you to view and compare performance among recordings of a song.
Use the Group By menu to sort the Recordings grid into Billboard Songs (when applicable).
Recordings will now appear condensed into Billboard Song subgroups that sort ISRCs into album versions, live versions, remixes or other combinations with chart eligibility implications.
Click at top right to export a Recordings grid with all ISRCs in CSV or Excel format.
CONNECT automatically generates filenames for exports. Recording exports include the song name, artist name, “Recordings,” the song’s Luminate ID and a unique timestamp.

Start on a Song Dashboard. Scroll to Recordings to see all ISRC codes in order of consumption for your selected activity. Click any ISRC to visit its Recording Dashboard.
CONNECT automatically groups or “merges” recordings into songs based on a process of 1) artist linking and 2) title matching. Read more here.
No. Only chart-eligible song groupings (i.e. Billboard Songs) and chart-eligible activity factor into the charts. Song Dashboards aggregate all data and activity for a song, not just narrowly chart-eligible activity. Dashboards may also feature data from providers not counted towards U.S. charts.
No. Song merges on Dashboards have zero bearing on Market Share reporting.
Market Share uses a separate logic for grouping and exclusions. It's calculated at the recording level, not the song level. One song in CONNECT might comprise ISRCs owned by different rights holders. That's fine: the Market Share methodology ignores high-level song groupings. All individual ISRCs are assigned to their respective claimers and added to the correct label group.
"Album Equivalent" is a standardized unit of measurement. The Album Equivalent ratio converts different activities into one metric that can be used for chart rankings. This ratio can be applied to everything in CONNECT: albums, songs, products, recordings and artists.
On a Song Dashboard, the Album Equivalent figure indicates roughly how much activity for that song translates to Album Equivalent units.
A Billboard Song is a grouping of related ISRCs that are “merged” and counted as one song on certain charts. Billboard merges are determined by chart-specific eligibility rules and subject to final review by Billboard.
Not at this time. Song Dashboards collect all known recordings for a song, not just the ones that comprise a Billboard-eligible song or “merged track.” The Recordings grid sorts ISRCs by Billboard Song when applicable. Use the Billboard Song toggle to separate ISRCs into Billboard-eligible groupings.
Yes. Some ISRCs within a song are associated with video content. Those Recording Dashboards are for video ISRCs.
CONNECT does not store audio or video recordings. Cross-check ISRCs with platform IDs and metadata, then contact the DSP with questions about specific videos for any song.
Some items on a Dashboard might not show activity within your Time Frame and Location parameters. We also keep all known ISRCs in our database, including those that have been retired or are no longer available to stream. Lastly, we keep ISRCs on file for certain platforms that do not report consumption data to us.
Submit a data correction. If desired, you can attach a new image to the data correction ticket. You may also submit updated artist and album artwork to music.referencedata@luminatedata.com.
Always include the Luminate ID or URL of the Dashboard in question.
