Streaming Viewership (M) is a cloud-based application designed by Luminate to compile, manage and visualize streaming consumption data.
SV(M) automatically ingests multi-source streaming data, processes and unifies data and metadata and applies our proprietary model to calculate film and TV streaming viewership figures. The SV(M) platform delivers next-day streaming data, title metadata and an array of analytics tools via an accessible, intuitive user interface.
Powered by Luminate Film & TV’s industry-leading library of metadata, expertise in data science and cutting-edge data delivery technologies, SV(M) is built for the future of entertainment analytics.
Multi-cloud architecture
The SV(M) application, which incorporates Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Snowflake, is fast, flexible and scalable. The cloud-based platform enables real-time ingestion of structured and unstructured data through asynchronous processes across standard and non-standard formats. Our data infrastructure seamlessly and continuously works to process signals from multiple sources in order to model viewership, maintain a large database of title information and visualize data in the SV(M) interface.
ACR panel data
Among other data sources, SV(M) receives ACR (Automated Content Recognition) data from a panel of over 4 million U.S. smart TVs and connected devices. ACR technology can identify content being played onscreen with a high degree of accuracy.
Data science and machine learning
SV(M) uses machine learning and AI technologies such as RAG and SLMs to augment and improve our data quality and enhance the predictive capabilities of our model.
